Google Adwords brings in new users
As a way of promoting the existence of the Virtual Politics site, I've started employing Google Adwords, which show sponsored links on Google's search pages. Virtual Politics will appear for a number of popular politics related searches, and depending on the level of click throughs (and therefore the cost to me) I'll either expand or contract that list. So far through, with less than 24 hours of advertising gone, there have been several thousand ad impressions, and that has resulted in a number of click throughs and new members.

Hi there,
I'm working on behalf of www.yourparty.org. I think we have some fairly similar aims. Oddly we've also started using adwords this week to promote our survey on the EU constitution which we're trying to get out to over a million people. I'd be really grateful if you could mail this out to your members or provide a link on the site somewhere.
The survey is being run in conjunction with YouGov. We're trying to find out at a very basic level what it is people like and don't like about the EU, and on what terms, if any, they'd be willing for us to sign up to the constitution. e.g less corruption, veto on taxation etc
The link for the survey is here:

and the party website is here:

I'd also be interested to talk to you about some of the work we're doing with policy formation and deliberative software. This is being circulated among the open source community and needs strong input from people like yourself.
Kind Regards
